Frequently asked questions
Answers to the most common questions about how Intervieux works, what scoring looks like, and how we handle candidate data.
Getting started
How do I set up my first role?
After signing up, you will be prompted to create a role. You can upload an existing job description and rubric, or answer five short prompts and Intervieux will generate a rubric for your review. Most teams have their first role ready within 15 minutes.
Can I try Intervieux before subscribing?
Yes. Every new account starts with one free role and up to 30 candidate interviews, no payment information needed. You will receive full scored output so you can evaluate the results before choosing a plan.
How do candidates receive the interview link?
You send the link directly through your ATS, by email, or via the Intervieux dashboard. Candidates receive a plain-language invitation with the role name, a brief description of the format, and their unique link. No account creation is required on the candidate side.
Scoring and output
How does scoring work?
Intervieux evaluates each answer against the dimensions in your rubric. Each dimension receives a score from 1 to 5 with a brief rationale and the specific excerpt from the candidate's response that informed the score. The overall score is a weighted average across all dimensions.
Can I override or adjust scores?
Yes. Any score can be adjusted in the dashboard. Adjustments are logged with a timestamp and your note, so anyone else reviewing the shortlist can see that a score was changed and why. The ranking updates automatically when you adjust a score.
How long does scoring take after a candidate submits?
Scoring typically completes within 3 to 5 minutes of a candidate submitting their responses. You will receive a Slack notification (if configured) or an email when a new scored candidate appears in your shortlist.
Candidates and privacy
Are candidates told their responses will be scored by AI?
Yes. The invitation and the start screen of the interview both state that responses are evaluated using an AI scoring system and that the hiring team reviews all scores. We think transparency here is not optional.
How is candidate data stored and deleted?
Candidate responses and scores are retained for the duration of your subscription. If you close a role, you can delete all associated candidate data immediately from the dashboard. We do not use candidate responses for any purpose beyond scoring the role they applied to.
Can a candidate request access to or deletion of their data?
Yes. Candidates may submit a data access or deletion request by contacting [email protected]. We respond within 30 days in accordance with applicable data protection law. More detail is in our Privacy Policy.
